We are all blessed in knowing each other and even though we are apart,
there remains a huge network of love and support from each of us to one
another out there across the country. Always know that no matter what,
you are loved, you are cared for by those of us who grew up together and
who have made it down the path of life so far in our lives.


Anne Catherine Roney
April 05.1956 - March 13.2025
Anne Catherine Roney, 68, of Odessa, Texas passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
Born on April 5, 1956, in Borger, Texas to James Ralph and Lucille Roney, Anne was a kind and gentle soul who brought warmth to all who knew her. After graduating from Permian High School in Odessa, she attended Odessa College, where she earned her associate’s degree.
Anne dedicated much of her life to serving as an Administrative Assistant in the Planning Division of the City of Odessa. Her unwavering commitment ensured that the office operated as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Her dedication left a lasting impact on both the office and the community.
Anne is lovingly reunited with her parents, James Ralph and Lucille Roney; and her brother, Reverend George A. Roney who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her brother, David Roney and his wife Paula; her sisters, Joan Dooley, Teresa Murphy and husband John, and Beth Garrison and husband John; along with her nephew, Matthew Dooley; and niece, Veronica Dooley.
A Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home chapel, 6801 E. Hwy 80 in Odessa, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 612 E. 18th St. in Odessa on Saturday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Bernardito Getigan presiding. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
