Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Janice Kay Campbell, 68, on June 9, 2024 in Midland, TX. Janice was born January 8, 1956 in Gainesville, Texas to Jimmy and Fayrene Reeves. She attended Permian High School before moving to Lubbock where she worked at Texas Instruments.

Janice moved back to Odessa where she met and married Malcom Wayne Campbell, the love of her life, in 1995. They had 28 beautiful years together. Her hobbies included reading, writing and drawing pictures. Most of all she loved her church family, and sharing the gospel with everyone. She read her Bible every morning and is a faithful disciple of Jesus.

Janice is survived by her spouse, Malcom Wayne Campbell, her son Jeremy and wife Christen Rashidi, son Kris and wife Crystal Campbell, sister Barbara and husband Claude Downard, and twin sister Jeanette Covert. Her grandchildren include Lauren and husband Carter Garcia, Alison Rashidi, Karagan Clare, Tatem Alvidrez, Slade Clare, Preslee Clare, Emily Campbell, Chelsea Danielle Reeves, and one great-grandchild, Carolyn Gene Whitt. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Ramon Orosco.

Janice is proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers Johnny, Bobby and Harold Reeves, sister Valerie Reeves Hampton, and her brother-in-law Jeff Covert.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Solid Rock Fellowship Out West.

Janice’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all their friends and family who supported them during this challenging time. We also profoundly appreciate the care and compassion provided by the staff at Midland Memorial Hospital, Star Hospice, and Yellowstone Cremation.
