Tucker L. Hargis, 60, of Coffeyville passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, at
Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.

He was born on December 20, 1955, at Coffeyville to Danny Burton and
Patsy Jean (Hagan) Hargis. When he was young they moved to Odessa,
TX where Tucker grew up and attended school, graduating from Odessa
Permian High School.

On November 1, 1986 he was united in marriage to the love of his life
Kathleen Cozby at Abilene, TX. Following their marriage they made their
home in Texas until moving to Coffeyville in 1988. Tucker was employed
at Farmland Refinery and later at CVR Energy as lead operator, for
several years he was an EMT, Fireman, and on the Safety/Rescue Team
at the refinery.

He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene; he served on the
Church Board, was active in Teaching Home Groups with the Church,
and was a member of the International Association of Operating
Engineers. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, basketball, football and
baseball, coaching many of sports teams when his children were
younger. His
greatest joy was the time spent with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of the home; son, Tory Hargis and
wife Maria; daughter, Taryn Close and husband Randy; his mother Patsy
Hargis; sister, Terri Hargis; and six grandchildren, Eli Hargis, Lilly Hargis,
Abi Hargis, Daisy Close, Jasper Close, and Carsen Close all of
Coffeyville.

Services were held Friday, May 13, 2016 at the First Church of the
Nazarene in Coffeyville with Rev. Ford Hall officiating. Private family
burial followed at Fairview Cemetery.
